Can conservative brands champion modern values?

When you think of law firms, you don’t usually think of cool visual identities and distinctive brands. But our work for the legal eagles at KŠB allowed us to do just that. Kocián, Šolc and Balaštík is one of the biggest law firms in Czechia with a tradition dating back to the 90s. The main challenge was figuring out how to rebrand KŠB to preserve its solid, reliable, and professional core, while also showing the firm is full of young and talented people who hold the future of the Czech legal profession in their hands. Only the original identity didn’t quite reflect that. To which we said: ‘objection’!

Sharp thinking, sharp lines

Predictable legal metaphors notwithstanding, we came up with a new brand strategy captured in the line ‘Finding new solutions is our tradition’. This phrase encapsulates both the firm's professional tradition as well as the fresh outlook and young talent within KŠB. So we designed a sleek, sharp visual identity to match. One of the key features in the identity is a system of lines whose length corresponds to the founders’ names. Lines that point firmly towards the future.
